CEC Conservation Area Boundary Consultation

In recent times, Sandbach Town Council has worked closely with Cheshire East Council in the review of the Sandbach Conservation Area.  This significant piece of work has seen a full boundary review, alongside the development of a Character Appraisal which is due to be formally published summer 2016.

As a consequence of a Planning appeal decision in relation to Dingle Farm and as a part of the appraisal process, Cheshire East Council now is proposing to further extend the boundary of the Sandbach Conservation Area under the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, to include the area around Dingle Farm, Dingle Lane.  The owner/occupiers of a property in the immediate locality of this site are being consulted to seek their views prior to the decision being finalised on the proposed boundary extension.

Sandbach Town Clerk says “This is a significant consultation exercise, relevant to the Town of Sandbach.  Members of the Public are urged to participate in this important consultation to further protect and enhance our historic market town.”

Consultation commences on 18 January 2016 and runs until 15 February 2016.

A hard copy is also available for inspection at Sandbach Library.

Any comments or recommendations regarding the proposed extension are welcomed and should be returned to Cheshire East Borough Council in writing at the address below:
