Sandbach Town Council is undertaking a "Lessons Learned Review", which will review the process that has been followed throughout the recent Market Hall and Office Accommodation Feasibility Study.

It will aim to review how the study was undertaken, focusing on particular areas such as Governance, Act of Delegation, Communication, Stakeholder engagement and Finance.

A detailed report with recommendations will be presented to Council on 6 October 2016.

Sandbach Market Traders are participating in the high profile 'Love Your Local Market' 2016 campaign, with local MP Fiona Bruce lending her support for the event.

Led by the National Association of British Market Authorities, over 1100 markets across the country are taking part with a focus on youth and teenage Markets and Traders. Sandbach Market Traders have hung bunting and balloons in Sandbach Market Hall, with some traders offering special promotions and offers to celebrate.

Public Consultation on the Future of Sandbach Market Hall

The Market Hall is situated right at the heart of Sandbach Town Centre. It operates as an Indoor Market for just two days a week, housing eighteen small businesses, and is closed for the other five days a week. Last year Sandbach Town Council subsidised the Market Hall at a cost of £20,000. Being empty for most of the time, the solid brick building usually looks cold and uninviting to visitors.

Sandbach Neighbourhood Plan Polling Cards Drop on Doormats

Polling cards for Sandbach Neighbourhood Plan have started to drop through residents’ letterboxes in preparation of the Adoption Referendum on Thursday 24th March. The referendum is the culmination of nearly 2 years work by a group of Sandbach Town Councillors and Community representatives.

In recent times, Sandbach Town Council has worked closely with Cheshire East Council in the review of the Sandbach Conservation Area.  This significant piece of work has seen a full boundary review, alongside the development of a Character Appraisal which is due to be formally published summer 2016.

To aid scheduling of the 2016 Christmas Market, we are seeking your view as to which day(s) we hold the annual Sandbach event.
