Community Grants
The Council welcomes the use of its Community Grants every year to deliver local developments which are consistent with the Council’s Corporate Strategy.
Grants over £500 can be applied for all year and will be assessed internally at the end of June, September, December and March. If the Grant application meets the Council’s criteria (included in the Council’s policy below) it will be considered by the relevant committee in the following month after this assessment. Grants above £500 and below £5,000 are considered by Finance, Policy and Governance Committee and Grants above £5,000 are considered by Council.
The Council now has a small grant application system for grants under £500 which do not need to be approved by Committee but by the Chief Officer and Chairs of Finance, Policy and Governance Committee through delegated authority. If you submit a small grant application you can expect to hear back from the Council within 14 days of making your submission.
