The eagerly anticipated return of the Sandbach Whisky Festival has been announced for Saturday 3rd February 2024.
Following on from the highly successful 2023 event the upcoming festival will see a huge increase in facilities and amenities and will include an even more extensive whisky menu, additional bar staff, longer opening hours and the use of the entire Sandbach Town Hall accommodation including the Ballroom, Charter Room and Boardroom. Once again there will be no charge for admission.
The festival will again be headlined by the legendary Hyland Single Malt whisky bar (click her for menu) with almost 250 whiskies on offer, including one from every available Scottish distillery.
Once again we will be presenting the popular whisky auction with special and unrepeatably rare Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. Excitement is already growing at the news that the auction will include a bottle from the very first release from a distillery which, when built in 2009 was Scotland’s largest malt distillery.
New for this event will be Cheshire’s very own whisky distillery, the Weetwood Distillery. In addition to featuring their current single malt expression, The Cheshire 2nd Edition, they will also have available two limited edition releases, The Seaside and The Fireside. Weetwood will also be holding ‘Masterclass’ sessions at the festival providing a fascinating and informative insight into their entry into the new and exciting world of Single Malt English Whisky accompanied by tasting sessions of their excellent whiskies.
