The Cheshire Tree Alliance- Tree Conference 2025
Sun 6 Apr 2025 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Sandbach Town Hall, CW11 1AX
The Cheshire Tree Alliance (CTA) was created to enable local Tree Groups and other interested organisations across Cheshire to share information about their activities, achievements and planned events. It’s a platform for highlighting opportunities for new volunteers to get involved in local Tree Groups. The CTA can help with signposting to opportunities for grant funding, sponsorship and training, to guidance and best practice, and to sources of advice and expertise for specific situations.
The CTA was formed following an inaugural conference in January 2024, hosted by Congleton Town Council. A number of broad themes emerged from this: tree-planting planning (whether as urban forest and street trees or rural); best practice in neighbourhood consultation and working in partnership with local councils; tree propagation and sharing tree stock. The second conference, hosted by Sandbach Town Council, has sessions that continue these themes:
All Tree Enthusiasts are welcome, with usual ground rules – be polite and constructive, and apolitical. A key objective of this second Cheshire Tree Conference is to grow a stronger network of Tree Groups, grant funders and sponsors across Cheshire. And get more trees planted! (Small and Large).
And a chance to meet likeminded tree lovers and get involved.
