Town Crier Retirement & Welcome to the New Town Crier

Following 42 wonderful years as Sandbach Town Crier, Mr Dennis Robinson formally retired from the role on Saturday, 1^st June 2024.

Applicants for this prestigious role were invited to apply in writing and participate in a special Town Crier competition, during the popular Day of Dance event.  The Town Mayor and Mr Robinson awarded the role to Sandbach resident Dave Hypson, who paid tribute to his predecessor’s dedication.  He concluded that he was grateful for the opportunity, which he does not take lightly, and looks forward to learning and developing in the role, with Dennis’s support.

The Sandbach Town Crier’s first formal role will be the D-Day 80 Proclamation on 6^th June 2024, which we hope residents and visitors will attend and support.
